Thinking about how depressed I am makes me even more depressed. Funny how life works.

Here's a happy memory at Michelle's house laying on her kitchen floor with Buddy.

I feel the heat, I see the light

Went on a quickie photo adventure today, and I want to go back out and do it again tomorrow. My plan for the next couple weeks : finalize grad school apps, work out, and take photos!

Photos I liked but am not sure about
I think I'm going to re-do this photo. My face is just too overexposed and I had to crouch down uncomfortably for this shot but I really like how my hair looks tangled in with the branches, kinda reminds me of Medusa.

Release Me

Currently listening to 'Release Me' by the Like. Feel good music for a Monday night.

Lack of uploading is me just not being lazy, but just not in the mood to do so. So here is my attempt to squeeze in a few months worth of photos.  (photos range from Thanksgiving to New Years)

Happy belated New Year!

I met Joakim Noah! ... twice in one week :D

This photo is from a couple weeks ago. I still have other photos from the past month on my other camera and still a bunch of photos on a roll of undeveloped film. I'm lazy and stressed.

Passing afternoon is on repeat.

I can't wait until winter break. CANNOT

This is a photoblog so .. somewhat latest photo booth photo. In case you don't know, I'm 21 years old and I forever will be bitter about love, so shove it.

I knew it would happen this way

One of the most favorite things I learned in social psychology so far is the hindsight bias. It's basically also called the "I-knew-it-all-along" phenomenon. It was one of the first things we learned this semester and I always reflect back on it. Like damn, I knew I should not have waited til last minute to study for my math quiz or I knew I should have not looked at that profile or I knew I should have not started watching "Weeds" again. JUST FREAKING KNEW IT.

Is there a way to prevent this? I remember asking my professor this in the 2-minute drills we hand in at the end of class but I don't exactly recall an answer. I mean, if you knew you had to do something or you knew you shouldn't have done it, then why did you? If we always seem to know better at the back of our minds, why the hell didn't we do it in the first place? The only prevention I can think of is to be more aware of our actions. Be more conscious of the choices we make and take the time to truly reflect on it.

However, we are flawed and most likely we will never truly learn. I will still continue to wait last minute to do anything math related, will continue to think I will work out but end up watching reruns of HIMYM instead, and even though I know better will continue to linger over shit that shouldn't matter anymore.

Do I make sense? It's been a long day and I felt like blogging but I've really been hesitating to blog about what I really want to blog about. So this is a filler. If it doesn't make sense then it doesn't. Who said everything on the interent is true and accurate anyways.

Parting song, seemed appropriate. Good night, back to the absurdly ridiculous lives of the Botwins.

penny for your thoughts

Sometimes I just feel like I don't fit in. And it always makes me doubt myself and my abilities. However I need to remember that just because I don't fit in with a certain group of people that I am not a fun person to be around. I have some really awesome friends that I can count on having a great time with. I need to stop feeding my insecurities. For my Theories of Personality class we took the Myers-Brigg test and I remember taking it a few years back and scoring with a EN something something but retaking it now I scored as ISFP. I truly believe that I have become more of an introvert throughout the years, possibly due to my constant bitterness over love and my contentedness with being alone. I used to really be a friendly person but nowadays I find myself preferring my own company and when large group gatherings occur I sometimes feel socially awkward. I'm okay with the changes I have developed. I think the changes we go through are just us becoming the people we truly are.

According to this my animal personality type is a sloth and while I do agree with the part where I don't publicly debate my views and am caring, I don't think I have the 'sloth vibe'. Apparently Paul McCartney is also an ISFP so that's cool. I can add that to the list of things I have in common with Sir McCartney (playing left handed guitar is one of them).

  • Introversion (I): ISFPs are introverted. They tend to be reserved and quiet, especially around people they do not know well. They prefer spending time with a close group of family and friends.

  • Sensing (S): ISFPs like to focus on the details. They spend more time thinking about the here and now rather than worrying about the future. They also prefer concrete information to abstract theories.

  • Feeling (F): ISFPs care more about personal concerns rather than objective, logical information.

  • Perceiving (P): ISFPs like to keep their options open, so they often delay making decisions in order to see if things might change or if new options come up.
  • I agree with everything except Sensing. Maybe I'm supposed to be INFP? Idk.
